Things Coming A Little too Easy....

For once, i totally agreed with drey on something:

From a few batches after our '83 batch, they seem to take things abit too easy!

Why i say that ? This is kinda like my observation in Uni. Somehow these younger generations generally take things for granted man (Before anyone starts screaming at me... i said general... there r exceptions too... ).

My group of frens kinda feel that these later batches seem to have things come their way a little too easy. Its not like our batch had tough time ... if u compared to the older generations... but its kinda like things have come too easy for these later batches such that they somehow developed "不求上进(Not willing to strive)" kinda attitude, which translate to how they study, work and interact with ppl. To cite a few examples:

1) Skipping Core lesson(s) to stay at home because one is too lazy.

2) General lack of interest in studying, only to start asking for hints and wat-have-you from ppl who went for lectures.

3) Lack initiative in project work, only to scramble at the last minute.

4) Expects group member(s) to cover one another's asses despite not doing much oneself.

and many more ..... I really cant cite working ones cos those r told by Grace, HL and Drey...haha I cant really remember much anyway....

I mean its kinda related (1) to (4) and it all boils down to the right attitude. Of course, I am not trying to say that everyone should be talented in studies and should get As, wat I am stating is that no matter how much aptitude one have in anything, one should at least put the correct mindset and effort(s) towards it. Take the case of studying, if one is really not interested, why bother to waste parents' money and continue to study ?

Well, i guess they will learn their lesson(s) the hard way when they really step out into society, as my group of frens agreed.

LOL
