Was toking to a fren regarding the election of Ma Ying Jiu as Taiwan President.

haha...


I guess it all boils down to one issue:

Is getting independence or getting the economy up more important ?

I lament this cos it seem to me that the person who is dwelling so much on Ma's inabilities and stuff gives me a feeling that he/she only said those becos he felt that TW will never gain any independence with Ma as president.

Seriously, from a point of view of a foreigner... I would definitely be more willing to invest in TW now with Ma Ying Jiu as president. It's really time for TW to follow the step of globalisation instead of dwelling so much on how 'independent' they can get... hee.

Give you another analogy, (Given infinite funds )do u guys want to invest in a country where the president speaks english to the media, or do u want to plunge ur money into a country with the president speaking Hokkein to the media.

I mean globalisation is something that is unavoidable man... hahaha. No historical empire had survived sucessfully by practicing feudalism man... hahaha


oh well... I m a nobody so my voice doesnt really count anything... all I know is :

THE GOOD PRESIDENT IS THE ONE WHO GETS THE ECONOMY UP AND GOING !!

It's really fascinating ... how an event can be interpreted so different by different groups of pple.... found this through toking to an old fren...

People just chose to believe wat they want to believe I guess... heh


So the moral of the story :

Never condemn or be quick to conclusions becos we may never know the truth or the story behind... unless, of course, we are the ones who are directly involved in it !!

and

Everyone has there own ways of handling and doing things... as long as it doesnt really hurt others, there is nothing wrong in having differences. I guess sometimes we all need to learn to take things a little easier and simpler and learn to accept one another's difference.

Affinity... really so ???

Affinity... good or bad ??

This came to my mind when I saw "Sakae gal" at El Amin last Fri. For those who dunno, it was one of the worst stunts I did in my life. I tried to get her number back in Sakae West Mall light yrs ago... hahaha

Din expect to see her again... haha Anyway keet and the gang were pushing for me to approach her this time round. I din... as expected.

Anyway I just find her cute that all; she will be damn chio in 5 yrs time bah... but she is not wat I am looking for lah... kekeke

So wats the big idea abt affinity if pple dont push for it ??

A discussion on gals.... for Dao Liang

Wat can 6 guys tok abt when they are having lunch... ??

Gals of course !!!

wahahaha... we were all telling Daoliang... that getting a gf is more than just looking at the looks. Looks are only important to the extent of feeling comfortable with that person. Cos Daoliang was lamenting he does not have a gf and he wanted a gal who is 'chio'(duhz...), fair in complexion and sweet. All looks ah... hahaha

So, we told him this:

Weijian :"Well, there is more to character than looks sometimes..."
me : "Get to know more gals first, then through these interactions know wat u dun like and narrow down ur options to a certain kinda traits than will turn u on..."
Weijian : "Learn form Jianlong if u wanna sian Xiao Mei Mei, wanna sian OL learn from yc... " (WTF !!!???)
Songlin : "Jianlong sian Xiao Mei Mei zai lah !!! Must learn !!!"
Anthony : "Get long to intro gals to u man !!!"

At the end of the day, we all felt that Dao Liang simply have not experience r/s wise bah... perhaps tt y he doesnt really know wat kinda person he is looking for... oh well

Ministry of Food - 13032008

Had to do some errands:

1) Get Voucher from the printer my mum purchased.
2) Buy cosmetics... yesh... cosmetics for my mum at OG Bugis.
3) Do some shopping at Isetan Sale; me looking for a pair of casual shoes

So being nice pple, yulin and yanbing accompanied me for lunch at Bugis Junction. We couldnt really decide on the food to eat, but we walked and ended up M.O.F. So we had our lunch there lor...


They serve nice Jap food.... and cool desserts too !! Best of all, students get 30% off for any ala carte or set meals...

I ordered Spicy Miso Ramen and Salmon Maki while the gals ordered some desserts... hahaha The desserts really nice eh... the strawberry ripple ice cream and the sesame ice cream.

Had a few hours of break today after Clean Tech lesson at 930. So we decided to stuck ourselves in the library. WL and Boo did their reports while I surfed the net.

Chanced upon this crappy cartoon while searching for my RTK SD Gundam anime... apparently Sangokuden and Sengokuden only has a letter "a" different... hahaha

Anyway pay attention to the horse in the cartoon.

Afternoon Conversation
Mel: "So have u seen her... ??"
me : "Which her ??"
Mel: "That her lor..."
me: "no eh... y ??"

Then while we were eating dinner, there she was !! hahaha

such a small small world...

Anyway, she didnt see me initially so I din make a gesture of "HI" throughout the evening... the point being I dunno wat's there to talk to her about... Besides talking to her could possibly spark a quarrel with her bf who is beside her I guess... Mel did wave to her though... but it was a mere courtesy lah... kekeke

But I guess at the end of the day it has more to do with me having nothing to talk to her anymore. She is, of course, not the same person I knew... so yeah lor...

Actually talking abt her, I seemed to be defending her quite a bit lately. My frens still seemed to be very angsty over her (but they like to talk abt her dunno y... |||) and I had to keep telling them stuff like

"the thing was over so long le... perhaps she was immature back then tt all... as a fren she is ok de..."

and

"Dun like hate her cos of me or something... and we have moved on liaoz... in our different ways"

Very tired man...haha


I really hope these frens really jump outta it lah... cos it doesnt do them good really to like be mad over her lah... it's really time to move on man... But I really appreciated their gestures... gestures of brotherhood !!

Tekong Seafood - LEE HUP LEE - 01032008

Since OPS Wei Zhu haven been operating for awhile liaoz.. so we decided to head for Changi Village for some seafood.

Event: Operation Seafood Changi Village
Location: Changi Village Hawker Center
Participants: Keet, KJ, Grace, Chang and me


We reached there at abt 2030, but we only managed to get our food at 2130 !! Apparently, the crowd there was humongous !! But the food was good, especially the Sotong and the Lala. Dunno y the lala seemed very well-cooked, perhaps it's our hunger that was brewing in our heads... hahaha

So there were the food we ordered:


Sauteed Lala
Never eaten sauteed lala before, but the dish seemed quite palatable. No fishy smell or taste, and the lala were stir fried with spring onions and other vege.


Sambal Sotong
Sotong was quite well done, as I have said earlier on. This dish was a little sweet on top of the noraml spicy flavour. A must try for this stall.


Sambal Stingray
Stingray was okay really, just that doesnt really surprise anyone of us. But the pineapples on the dish was nice... 8)


Black Pepper Crabs
Black Pepper Crab were very fresh, but very very very SPICY. We had 2 drinks each to counter the spiciness. Keet was all sweats and eating like nobody's business... hahaha I even had to wipe off the sauce on his mouth... and he say I was gay... wth.... it was just convenient leh... hahaha


Sesame Oil Chicken
Also a well-cooked dish. Finally something non-spicy to blend with all the spicy food. A recommended dish for thsi stall.


Mixed Vegetables
Just normal sauteed vegetables in Oyster sauce. nothing special though. The only reason we ordered this food is because we always had Sambal Kang Kong and we felt it was time for a change... hee~

Most importantly, everything cost us around 120 dollars only !! plus beer and everything.... CHEAP CHEAP !!!


Definitely a good place to eat seafood and not be toked (like a carrot).

Ok I gotta stop taking high cholesterol stuff for awhile to 'purge' all the cholesterol accumulating in my body these days... wahahaha

LIU MAMA (aka my mum) will kill me if she knew i ate such stuff... wahahaha
