its getting very fustrating man....

Money, Marriage and Kids...

My frens seem to tink that I am rich and I am ah siah (rich man's kid in hokkein).... haha. Although I do admit that my life is comfortable and I feel very blessed to have this kinda lifestyle, I dont really feel that it has got anything to do with me. In fact, I never tot of myself as rich, I am just very very lucky to be able to not worry about financial burdens !

In fact, I always feel that the reason my family is wat we r now is that my parents planned for me and my sis way before they got married and started a family. And that is also the main reason I so admire and respect them despite my occasion outburst of unhappiness over their nagging and stuff... hahaha

And this brings me back to an issue keet brought up the other day. He lamented that "how much money you have just organise wat kinda wedding lor"... haha. I dont really agree with him, although I dont tink he is wrong too. Perhaps my parents influenced me such that I too would like to plan for the future of my kids way before 'making' them if I ever wanna get married; then, I gotta sort out substantial financial stability before being able to do all these stuffs yeah... And I really hope that I would be able to provide my kid(s) with the kinda life that I have now... at the very least - that is to not have any financial burden in my family.

That y I always believe money matters, esp when it comes to marriage, becos it has so much underlying meaning for me - to plan for the wedding, my future happiness and my kids too.... hahaha

"Money cant buy Happiness, but there is hardly Happiness without Money !!"

The talk on "Metal Teeth" ppl...

Jianting commented that the '85 batch of people has metal teeth... haha TI KI, which in hokkein means that very stubborn. He lamented tt it has something to do with them being born in the year of Ox which is characteristically of the animal... haha

Well, I do agree with him to some extent, but I would tink that it is the younger generations starting from the '85 batches tt generally possess this trait. Somehow I feel that these younger generations of ppl have difficulties accepting deviated opinions and they would always stand by their own tots.

It's good that they are confident enough, but I just tot that listening to a different opinion doesnt really hurt u see... an analogy tt I always use is one could just sit on the fence before deciding which side is more suitable and not insisting to sit on one side since the very beginning for the sake of sitting.

Well, I guess one kinda rice feed a hundred kinda ppl... so just a gentle reminder to all tt it doesnt really hurt to seek a different opinion for comparison yeah... if it turns out u still feel u r right then stick to it... if not there is no shame in incoporating ideas from others..

Gundam Gallery - Part II

Had a little spare time to relax, so I did up another cubicle in my cupboard. This is Cao Cao and Sima Yi.

Just a little history background: Sima Yi is one of the best tacticians / advisors of Cao Cao, but Cao Cao never trusted him. His suspicions were well-placed as Sima Yi took over the empire from Cao Cao's great grand son. Not long after, Sima Yi's grandson promounced himself Emperor of Jin Dynasty and he unified China.

Good Frens are NOT....

Good frens are NOT :

1) Subjects of constant whining of the same thing when we jolly well know the answers to the issue.

2) Subjects of constant abuse from inconsiderate and selfish suggestions, eg initially suggesting something and then wait for someone to plan within the click. Or, suggesting something tt is only convenient to you and only you...

3) Back-up plans for other appointments; even they are ... they must not know it....

4) Subjects of constant failed promises(aka aeroplanes...)

5) NSmen who are only called up when you are having big time problem and redundant on normal days.

So ask yourselves peeps, ever done some of wat I said ??

So think hard if you have been there for a fren if you expect tt person to be there for you. Or rather, sometimes think of y frens are angry.... or when you are not called up to meet up... haha

Gundam Gallery - Part I

Chang was asking me if I had built up my Lu Bu character SD Gundam. (see link : http://despecial1.blogspot.com/2007/12/my-very-first.html)

Nope, reason being... in fact I have yet to build up Cao Cao as well...

1) FYP... FYP... and more FYP...

2) I was down with fever last week

3) The little time that I managed to squeeze out today, I spent it on converting a small part of my room into a gallery to house my Gundam. For a start, I did up the "Sworn Brothers at Peach Garden" in Romance of the Three Kingdoms story.

For those who dun know, Liu Bei, Guan Yu and Zhang Fei decided to become sworn brothers and start an adventure of their lifetime... haha

Well enuff of toking, here's what I did:

More to come... if I can fork out some time here and there....

BBQ at Changi Fish Pond... on New Yr's Eve

At first I was a little procrastinated about going to the Fish Pond with Marcus and gang. We were going to have a bbq there ... and it was a new experience for me..

Vanson and me

So I tagged along in the end yeah... and it was a whole new experience. I never fished before and it was quite fun to swing the hook and stuff. Most importantly, we get to bbq our cath straight at the place. The promphet we bbqed was perfect man... and there were 2 more other fishes but they were not as good... dunno y...

The spread

BBQ Fish anyone ?

A nice and tranquil place actually... just a little infested with mosquitos. 8) Definitely a good place to have some peace... esp at night...

Marcus the Fisherman

Junxiang the Cook

Justin the Big Chao Geng

By the time we left, it was already near 430 am in the morning !! Some were drunk, the rest were ladies, so I being the only sober soul there had to drive them all home with Marcus car. Hmmm... really had a hard time adjusting to auto cars as I am so used to driving a manual one... 8)

A new experience on New Yr's Eve.. cool !!
