Realities in different time and space

Disclaimer: This post is a pretty random and outta-the-world ...

Had the whole Saturday empty to stay at home...

It's really not that bad seriously; doing everything at ur own pace and then resting as well...

I was watching Justice League movie online. And it has just been out apparently, and it talks about this idea revolving around different world. By different world, they refer to this concept that we are in our own reality and there are many other parallel realities in time and space. Simply put, it like there are numerous me in other realities. So, I could be an unknown character in one, a criminal another and etc. And all these realities are triggered by man's thoughts - our creativity and our desires so to speak.

Interesting isnt it ?

More important is that it really doesnt matter if the concept is true anot... what really matters is that we know our own "roles" in our realities. That is, of course, a totally different story if we can travel between realities...hahaha

And I guess our "role" pretty much is determined by our thoughts and desires, personalities, our hardwork and sometimes luck for that matter.

So what is my "role" ?

Honestly, I am still searching for it... my role in society ... haha

When winning isnt the issue anymore...

People asked me y I like the Bulls some much even when they are not in the glorious era during the Jordan days...

It really boils down to one thing - HEART. This Bulls Team plays with a heart seriously. Yeah, there were the usual lapses and plays that make you wonder what the heck do I really support them for, but hey we are only humans... and humans have emotions and we make mistakes... And it has been a trainwreck of a season for them - Injuries, Loss of Ben Gordon, Manager fight with Coach, Coach nearly got fired, 10 game losing streak, trades... and the list just goes on you know...

But despite all these, I simply like their hard-nose way of playing bball - scrambling for loose balls and trying to counter-attack and outrun the opponent despite the odds against them. Just take a look at the current Playoff Series:

Bulls (8th seed, Derrick Rose) Vs Cavs (1st seed, Lebron James)

Which part of the equation says it is a winnable series ?

Lebron James is not even a monster, he's a freaking Tank in the courts ! It's like hitting a Mazda 2 against an M1A2 Tank you know...hahaha. But hey, the series is 2-1 now with Cav leading. The Bulls just won the game today. If David meets Goliath 7 times, and David gets the better just for once, it's already a feat man...

So to summarise, I am proud the Bulls won the game today. We may not win the series, but it's all about playing with the heart.... and we did that against all odds !

Go Bulls !!!

Do we really lack courtesy to that level ?

Sometimes, things really happen for a reason leh...

I mean I respect that we all needa put priorities our life on stuff like family bfs/gfs and what have you. But u know, sometime it really bugs me that people get too obsessed over it lah... I mean look at it this way, it takes two hands to clap; you are not putting in any efforts to at the very least be courteous enuff to want to talk nicely, it's probably the worst way to maintain rs lah...

Well, what do I know ? Becos I am not obsessed doesnt mean others arent ... hahaha
In fact, I think I have a pretty balanced lifestyle so far... so I can say or do what I want.

Like I say, what goes around comes around... so it's really no loss; more of an enlightenment.

So dont ever lament one has no frens, look into one's own behaviour first.

Hahaha, like the title precedes itself, it has got me thinking for awhile since it was mentioned by Hans (Ops manager at Tuboscope) during one of our friday drinking sessions.



We were talking about getting a list of jokes that are shared among a circle of pple u know...


so instead of having to say the jokes all over again, u kinda go like "Number 4"; and then, everyone would understand and burst out laughing...


The best part of this is that whenever someone(outta the group) tries to be funny and come into it, he/she might go :


Fren: "Let me try this, number 6 !"


*Silence*


Fren: "Number 6 !"


*Silence*


Fren: "why ? whats wrong with the joke ?"


YC : "It's not really the joke u know... it's the way u say it..."


*Burst in laughter except the fren*

OXYMORON 2

Heard something meaningful on radio yesterday night:

"We say that with love nothing else matters; but at the same time, everything matters just a little more..."

Another oxymoron phrase to tinker about....

A Grey World in Black and White ...

Let be real, the world is grey, whether we like it anot... and we humans made it complicated... period.


But, to understand and appreciate the grey part, I think we all need to learn about her in black and white first. It's like schooling u know... we all study about the ideal cases before touching and dwelling into the different cases and anomalies.

For example, having been through and gained a particular experience, u will kinda be able to anticipate the end from looking at the initial stuffs, but if you start preaching the concerns to someone who hasnt had that experience, he doesnt appreciate everything for sure. It's like u know the way from point A to point Z, but he can only see it till point K u know.... so it's so much easier to bring the person to point K first and then move on from there...

Give you guys another example, real life ones. In my line of my work, I had to coordinate with the colleagues in the yard who are not from the management; initially, it just drives me crazy becos they dont see the things the management sees. But after awhile, I realise I would have to convince them slowly, from one point to another point to reach the goal(s) that I want. It's draining sometimes, no doubt, but at least it gets you to the end that you want... and also everyone is happy. Conversely, had I unleashed all my expectation(s) on that poor chap who isnt convinced somehow, I dont think much could be accomplished at all and feelings would be hurt... and things will turn pretty ugly for sure man... most importantly, nothing gets done at the end of the day !


It works the same for the advice we give. It could be the most correct advice, but if it doesnt get the person to the intended aim, whats the use ? I would rather bring the person to a certain point(s) and then for all we know, he would be able to get it to his end himself. If not, I advise a few more times to get him there...


Let's just say to tackle the complicated, we need to do it simple.

Like Hans and John mentioned, no rocket science involved at all !!

BONES

As you guys can see, there was only 1 post in the entire month of March. The reason is pretty apparent - VERY BUSY. Same old stuff to be dwell myself into. Had it not been the last min cancellation of my Laos trip (I shall be a good guy and not swear abt this so soon....), I wouldnt be having the 3 days of nuahing at home.

I mean seriously, I was only doing these stuffs:

1) Eat
2) Sleep
3) PC
4) Catching downloaded series

Which reminds me, I am strongly encouraging you guys to check out this series - BONES. I know Mitch isnt really into this show, but I really felt that it is one of the best investigative dramas around. The story revolves around an anthropologist (Bones) and CIA agent (Booth), and they teamed up together in a unusually matching way to solve murders from studying bones. Of course, there is the element of love between them which they are still trying hard to kid themselves even when it's the fifth season already.


But I mean seriously, what attracted me about the show is the personality of these 2 main cast. On top of the fact that Bones (as she is nicknamed) is an attractive woman, she fills her world with logic and facts to hide her insecurities. Meanwhile, Booth offers the spiritual aspect in crime solving (emotions and stuff that isnt really that clear cut). Ironically, despite their vast differences, they actually complement each other to perfection.

Perhaps what I really see in these 2 characters are two aspects of myself. On one hand I try to do things as logical and sensible as I want to be, I kinda come to the conclusion that there are certain stuffs that are just not that factual afterall. It's an ongoing battle everyday, yet it could be so perfect when a balance can be made of the two.


Well, enough of my rattlings... do check this series out man... I am sure many of you will love it just as much as I do.
