EMO Weekend... =(

Over the weekend, got tipsy from the Jackdaniels at the bbq. Had quite a bad time the next morning... as if it couldnt get worst, I met a person I wasnt comfortable meeting... but gd also, made me realise something which I will kb later on... lolz

Anyhow, felt much better after lunch, and met up eventually with Chek, Ah Shun, Ant to go have dinner near Ah Shun's place. After which, we headed to the KTV to sing our lungs out !

Felt really much better. Didnt really know why I was moody though, din realise till I got so tipsy.... EMO I guess...

EMO that:

1) Work is a pain given how a mess I am swallowing ....
2) I hope to spend more time with my Ah Ma but I didnt this week
3) Trying to plan outing(s) is such a pain in the A$$
4) Like weili commented, I really want to have a gf lah... but but but... I am not willing to compromise for the sake of finding one...

Now that I mention pt (4), I realised that one shouldnt compromise on character preference given that it is eventually a complementing (compromise) factor that bonds 2 person closer and long. As far as I am concerned, I dont believe in setting a particular look, or exterior criteria on some dream gal and stuff. Like I always say, being able to comfortably be myself is the most important thing for me.

To quote an example, if you cannot stand a person's way of doing things, but you force yourself to accept it wholeheartedly, why be so mean on yourself and the other party ? How long can this contradiction last ? Honesty to oneself is the best policy I thought. On the contrary, looks preference could change as time passes eh... besides Beauty lies in the eye of the Beholder... as long as you dont feel awkard can le lor...

Oh well... I am not desperate for sure ah ! Wont it be great to have someone to share your sorrow, happieness and excitement sometimes ?

=)

---------------------------------------------------------------

Been catching the show TRIMMING SUCCESS. Dunno why I kinda get emo whenever I watch the show eh. Perhaps I agree with the notion that we ought to cherish the pple near us before we could lose them forever...

Sometimes finding someone that you are real comfortable with is so difficult these days.... geez

Anyhow, time to sleep and get ready for work.... counting drill pipes again tmr ...

Hopefully the coming week is a better one...

Melben Crabs here I come !!!

Why the sheer difference in mindset ?

Just as we thought gone were the days of suicide bombers… here comes another 2 idiots… wtf seriously..

I have met some of the best people that are Muslims – Canada, USA, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, etc. And none of them are violent people to begin with. And they are tolerant and understanding to other religious views as was me to Islam. So I really cannot seem to fathom why one would bomb oneself up to try and disrupt the whole nation. Strike fear in westerners ? So when the westerners leave what do you do, fight among yourselves for supremacy ? That what’s happening in some places isn’t it … ?

Despite them being minorities, they are highly disruptive to the society and I really consider them viral pest which needs to be wiped out once and for all… Haven’t they thought of the innocent Muslims that will be sucked into their madness when they exploded themselves ? To me, that shows ton of irresponsibility and selfishness.

I am very sure that is not the teachings of Islam; must have been some weird interpretation from some once child-abused cult leader(s)… period. So are thoughts of the virgins in paradise… take innocent lives and get virgins… what a deal… besides I would probably wanna see half of the claimed virgins before I blow myself up for sure ! lolz

I guess that’s why it is called terrorism.

Lesson learnt from TV....

Just tuned in to Channel 8 show on saving business of hawkers in Singapore.

And as many of us have witnessed, there was a failed attempt by one of the targeted hawker. And I thought that after watching season 1 and season 2 now, it kinda gives me the feeling that many of these hawkers failed not in their food, but in their attitude and in their hearts.

I mean to be fair I was not in their predicament so i cant really judge them. But, from the way they try to learn and pick up skills from the chefs... oh man... I can only say the chefs has alot of patience...

Which brings me to my point that the attitude sometimes means so much more than aptitude and luck ...
With a good foundation / luck / prospect, you also need the necessary attitude to push oneself to succeed.

Hopefully my attitude in doing things is not too bad....

Geez...

Joseph's 1st month - Gathering at my place... - 18072009

Location: Home
Date : 18 July 2009

I always love having my relatives at my place, especially now given my ah ma is living with us. The more the merrier and my ah ma wont be so lonely since I have limited at home during the weekdays...

Nothing beats home... so true !!

Queit Weekend and my NEW NEPHEW !!!

Had a pretty quiet and normal weekend to be honest...

Friday
Was out with wl, ys and zp in town for supper after the Salsa Class. I hoenstly think I am too robotic to dance... hahaha Everytime we rotate the lady dancers, my comment would be "Your hands are too stiff...." or something like that...

lolz

Anyhow, we initally wanted to go Timbre, but ended up at OVEREASY in One Fullerton. As I have always felt, it's an ideal place to chill where the music isnt that loud and the crowd is good !

Saturday
Was a homely boy ! Haha
Had a family outing at my place - my nephew is 1 month's old !
here are some of his pics from fb:

Cute right... ? =]
Only thing is I am an uncle to one more person now... |||
hahaha

And met up with Ling, KJ and Keet for dinner at lot 1. It's Ling's bdae !!
Happy Birthday Ling !!! =)

Sunday
Usual bball practice in the morning.
After that, was on a mission at NTU mart to buy some supplies for my office in Tuboscope. Once I get everything sorted out, I will post the pics hey...

And of course run some other errands here and there...

Next Week ??
Counting drill pipes for the week and learning about inspections procedure through reading....

BBQ on friday... might leave early though if it started early.. so that I wont miss my Salsa Class..

Oh Well, another week to look forward to....

Carlos Tevez Saga

What an a$$hole this guy is, bad mouthing his previous employers ever since the day he decided he was not returning… I mean I don’t really know what happened behind the scenes bet he and his previous employers, to show to the whole world that you are revengeful over an “unsuitable” fit in the team tells a lot about his character. Thus, I conclude – he is at most a high-priced squad member, nothing more than that, especially in a big club !

When the going gets though, the though gets going… if I were a potential hiring manager, I would immediately write him off my wish list, despite his talents. Besides other than his pace and work rate, he is really not that prolific in front of the goals or versatile be a playmaker. And he is a pu$$y lah…. Be a man and admit you went for the riches in Man City instead of blaming it on something that you could perhaps have done better.

Gareth Barry went for the riches too, but hey at least he didn’t slap Aston Villa in the face by defaming them. Despite his abysmal decision that triggered a fury from the A V fans, I thought he kept his transfer quite a low profile matter.

Carlos Tevez - Sick and tired of his NONSENSE already… lolz
Hopefully Man City don’t face a relegation battle man…. Oops…. =) Btw... just did a check Man City has 10 strikers if you considered Adebayor anticipated arrival... Robinho, Bellamy, Santa Cruz, Benjani, etc... its like stepping outta a cesspool to jump into an abyss of shit... wahahahaha

Gd luck, pls dont whine when you arent given first team football... lolz

P.S: Is it a common trait in Argentinean players to come up with this nonsense, because another player came to my mind ? No guesses… I am thinking of Gabriel Heinze… hahaha

Our Ungracious Younger Generations....

Chanced upon this scene during the busy hours on a Saturday Afternoon...

I thought this is a good representation of the younger generations these days... but my argument may be a little skewed cos the 2 boys are tiongs to begin with. Nevertheless, I see this quite often on the trains these days(Drey will prob agree with me on this too...).

Reminds me of Jacky Chan's comment which caused some unhappiness among Singaporeans... well I tink that we ought to look at ourselves before we become defensive and retort these comments. It's a known fact that Singaporeans are not the most gracious batch of people. As much as Western culture is not considered a moral template, I must admit that Westerners are generally more gracious than us.

Which brings me to my next question, is this a result of different cultural clashes, our laxing educational system, softening parents, some ungracious people or a combination of the aforementioned ?

Very sad....

A Little EQ helps in Cyberspace ...

Had this thought after hanging out with Yaosheng for a bit this week:

I really think that writing something w/o thinking through in the first place is bad enough already... but writing that and then locking the blog site is like trying to say "Yeah I am going to write what I feel like writing and I am not going to change it..."

I understand the school of thought some pple have that blogging is a very personal thingy. However, if it is so personal y leave it online ? Leave the story in a diary of some sort and one can have all the later years to look through and recall... isnt having a blog online is to share your thoughts with the readers ?

Sheesh...

With that in mind, I also feel the owest is on the writer himself/herself to have some consideration on the implication(s) of each post. Writing something that could be hurtful to others directly is a no no for me... and i feel that it shows a great deal of low EQ...

Oh well who am I to judge ppl anyway... hahaha

One kinda rice feeds all kinds of ppl... makes the world more colorful isnt it ?

=)

Transformers – The Revenge of the Fallen

Caught the movie with Ah Shun and gang. Great movie with fantastic CG, toppled with a fascinating storyline. Okay, I am biased because I am a Transformers fan… hahaha

The Decepticons do look a little gross though… especially the scene where Megatron was talking to The Fallen; the dead Decepticon infant…. Yieeew…. Anyhow, despite the great cast, I was disappointed with the portray of JetFire.

This is the JetFire that is from the comics:

And this is the one in the movie:

At the very least, Jetfire should look like this:

I am a JetFire fan since I became a fan; I am disappointed that he is depicted to be an old Cybertronian Blackbird, and he even had a walking stick to go with his robot form... wtf !! But they did depict him in accordance with the actual story:

1) He was once a Decepticon back in the Cybertronian days, and he used to be Star Scream’s pal until he decided to switch sides to the Autobots.

2) He has lotsa wisdom, having been quite a leader in Cybertron along side Optimus Prime.

3) He can fuse with Optimus Prime in recent Transformers series.

It’s a selfish wish on my part, but I am really hoping he gets reformatted next movie (if there is any). And also, if possible, show Ultra Magnus and Hot Rod. Also, I wish to see the battle between Trypticon and Metroplex, or even Sky Lynx and Blasters.

Transformers – The Revenge of the Fallen is a must watch most definitely!
