Chicago Bulls - 07/08

After last season's defeat by the Detriot Pistons in the Conference Semis, The Bulls needed to address their greatest needs - A big post player. And hell yeah they got one to replace the aging PJ Brown. He is Joe Smith - a former 1st overall draft pick by the Golden State Warriors 10 yrs ago. Other that this off-season free-agent signing, the Bulls signed all 3 rookies they drafted this time round.

Well... kudos to Paxson for the work he has done for the team. Hopefully, with everyone fit and ready, the Bulls could really rally for a championship run this coming season. So here goes the team setup for 07/08:

Starters:
Center - Ben Wallace 6`10

Three-time Defensive Player of the Year. Although getting older at 32, still as reliable as ever. Only problem - offense.

Power Forward - Joe Smith 6`11

Latest aquisition from the free-agent pool. An upgrade to PJ Brown, no disrespect to PJ. Adequate post moves definitely will help push for a championship run.

Small Forward - Loul Deng 6`9

How the Bulls fare this coming season depends alot on Deng. More developed post moves and a bulkier frame will make scoring in the paint easier and it will add to his array of arsenal on offense(his shooting is already near 50% mark in regular season).

Shooting Guard - Ben Gordon 6`1

He is the man. The focal point of the offense. Need I say more ? Only need to improve his handles and assertiveness; that is, to cut down on his turnovers.

Point Guard - Kirk Hinrich 6`2

Ever-reliable captain of the team. Able to play PG on offense and SG on defense. A poor-man's Steve Nash but with way better defense.

6th men:
F Andres Nocioni 6`7

Jack-of-all-trades Nocioni just extended his contract. Able to adequately play SG, SF and PF, particularly an excellent 3-pt shooter and defender.

Reserves (from right to left):
G/F Thabo Sefolosha 6`7
PG Chris Duhon 6`0
PF Tyrus Thomas 6`9

Atheletic Thomas needs to develop a post move and improve his mid range shooting on top of his amazing blocking ability.
To lead by example is all Duhon is about.... he just needs to be more consistent on shooting though.
Swingman Sefolosha needs to add more shooting touch to his already near perfect perimeter defense.

Rookies (from right to left):
C Aaron Gray 7`0
C/PF Joakim Noah 6`11
PG JamesOn Curry 6`2

Hopefully these rookies can contribute in as many ways as possible. Notice 2 Bigs being drafted. A sign of more post offense during the regular season ? We shall see... hmmm

Coach: Scott Skiles

Hard-nose coach who preaches defense first to intiate offense. Likes to play double-teaming on defense and lotsa running on offense.

GM: John Paxson

In line to become the next"GM of the Year" due to the wonderful job he has done - build a great team from scratch.

Go Bulls !!!
