As we all know... EPL 07/08 season just started. One match into the season and I can see a new clown evolving already. He is none other than Tottenham's Anthony Gardner. Why is he a clown... simply put... the goals they he let in as a Central Defender is just absymal... chronic lack of concentration... lack of motivation...watever u say... he is just simply silly playing the way he plays... lucky I m not a Hot Spur fan... if not I will really bite tongue and commit suicide.
Other clowns of EPL:
Mikeal Silvestre and Tim Howard were the seal-clown partnership when they played together in Man Utd. Dun get me wrong, Tim Howard is now a commendable goalkeeper at Everton and the pacy Silvestre is a more than sound back up at the central and left defender slot now. However, I remember vivdly how they were the clowns when they played together when Silvestre was the Central Defender.... haha
Talk abt chronic memory loss... i still remember silvestre rushing to meet a challenge from an opposing player only to suddenly stop and look stunt ... letting his man free... this is clown behaviour lah !!
I must mention Titus Bramble (then at Newcastle) is yet another clown. He is the model example of clown. Clumsy, slow and inefficient as a Central Defender. No wonder he is one of the first batch of players to leave St James Park when Big Sam became the manager. In fact, Gardner is labelled his brother since they are so similar in their defending and being clowns of course... haha Dun get me wrong... Gardner can only surpass this predecessor by trying really hard yeah... hahahaha
But.... the greatest clown (the clown of all clowns) that I am refering to is none other than Martin Jol - Tottenham's manager. Every season he spends so much on players and yet he cannot even break into the Top 4 in EPL. Not to mention that his tactics are very weird and stuff... oh well... there is a bigger clown behind every clown-in-the making yeah... haha Give him 5 more seasons... they will still nto win anything worthwhile yeah... haha
